Travel to Funäsfjällen

Funäsfjällen, located in the heart of the Swedish mountains, is a great destination for both summer and winter adventures. Here you will find information on how to easily get here. Our reception is located at Vallarvägen 4 in Funäsdalen where you can pick up keys for your stay.

Travel by Car

With a car as a means of transport, the journey becomes flexible. In Funäsfjällen there is both short-term and long-term parking, as well as parking spaces at many of the area's attractions. Most of our accommodations have their own parking and some also have engine heaters. On site, you can easily get around between the accommodation and the various ski areas using the ski bus.

Travel by Air

The nearest airport is Röros Airport, which has daily scheduled flights from Oslo. During the winter season (3 February – 24 April), there are also weekly charter flights from Stockholm, with a flight time of around 80 minutes and a return price of SEK 1,995. One alternative is Åre Östersund Airport, where you can rent a car or take a bus on to Funäsfjällen. The airport has regular departures from Stockholm and other major Swedish cities.

Option three is to fly to Sveg from Stockholm with Jonair, and then rent a car at the airport. From Sveg it takes about 1h to Funäsfjällen and our reception at Vallarvägen 4 in Funäsdalen.

 

Travel by Train

The nearest train station is in Östersund. From there you can take a bus or rent a car for the last part of the trip to Funäsfjällen. Trains run regularly from major cities such as Stockholm, Gothenburg and Malmö to Östersund.

 

Travel by Bus

There are good bus connections to Funäsfjällen from several places in Sweden. Länstrafiken in Jämtland and Härjedalen offers direct buses from Östersund and other nearby cities.
