In some cases, the cabins are of a simpler standard, and you may be required to take care of the cleaning yourself before departure.
Apartments in the mountains are often located directly adjacent to ski resorts or central parts of the mountain village. They offer comfortable and modern accommodation with proximity to lifts, shops and activities, which is especially appreciated by families with children and those who want to have everything within reach. The apartments are practically designed and can be anything from small studios to large units for larger groups. Since they are often located in houses with several homes, there can be more movement and life around, and the feeling is not always as private or homely as in a cottage.
